On behalf of the California ENA State Council, we look forward to welcoming you to beautiful San Diego for Emergency Nursing 2023. ENA’s annual conference is just around the corner. Now is the time to start planning how you will make the most of your conference experience.

I look forward to the opportunities that only Emergency Nursing 2023 can offer. From high-quality education to valuable networking and hands-on training, there will be something for everyone at the conference.

This year’s theme, Level Up, encourages attendees to learn, adapt and overcome to become even better emergency nurses. The conference will feature more than 100 educational sessions to help you sharpen your skills, explore best practices, and create workplaces that keep burnout and stress at bay.

Wander over to the Experience Hall for some interactive learning. Check out the latest technologies and equipment in emergency nursing from more than 100 exhibitors. Cheer on your favorite team during the annual SIM Wars competition, where emergency nursing teams will put their skills to the test. And take part in hands-on learning sessions to better perform life-saving interventions.

My favorite part of the conference is connecting with colleagues from around the world and hearing about their experiences. The conference provides a plethora of social and networking events to do just that. Don your favorite superhero costume for the ENA Welcome Party. Hang out with like-minded professionals at several Meet and Greets, including one for international attendees and another for military veterans.

Don’t forget to make some time to see what San Diego has to offer outside the San Diego Convention Center. You are in for a real treat. With its warm, idyllic climate, San Diego is known for its pristine beaches, whether you’re looking to surf some waves or lounge on the sand. If dining and shopping are more your scene, head over to the downtown Gaslamp District or the Embarcadero waterfront. Consider hitting up a museum or two, including the San Diego Museum of Art and the Maritime Museum of San Diego.

If you are looking for something to do in the area, please stop by the State Host Booth or the information center in the convention center. We would be happy to provide suggestions.

Our very own San Diego ENA Chapter is rallying around the Emergency Nursing Conference Education Planning Committee to help make Emergency Nursing 2023 a memorable and remarkable conference.

Welcome, and we hope you have a great time at the conference.
